Part Time- 9 hours/week; $17.00/hour
Job Qualifications: Positive, pleasant attitude; service conscious; genuine concern for the elderly; general home-knowledge of preparing and serving food; previous experience in working with older persons and planning group activities desirable.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Determine and communicate weekly meal orders to Nutrition Program Office at the prescribed times.
Receive meals and verify that delivered items conform to daily order and the approved menu.
Advise caterer and/or Nutrition Program Office of shortages and/or qualitative deficiencies immediately.
Store food in a manner consistent with good food health practices and as directed by the Nutrition Program staff.
Make certain meals are prepared for service in a timely and qualitative manner depending on the mode of meals provided.
Maintain the serving in a pleasant and sanitary manner.
Maintain an attendance record for all persons partaking in the meals each day
Distribute unmarked contribution envelopes to each person partaking of the meal.
Plan, promote, and encourage participants to take part in activities and information services of benefit to the participants. Become familiar with participants and be alert to their needs and problems which might be aided by services available from the Center, the County, or Private Organizations in the Community.

NOW HIRING: Motor Equipment Operator-CDL

Full-Time
Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) position in the Town of Alden Highway Department, 40 hours per week. Must have a clean CDL license and preferably experience operating a heavy-duty snowplow with wing and sander. Responsibilities include performing manual labor in connection with snow removal, highway repair, excavation and construction, loading and unloading of vehicles, transportation of equipment and material, cutting brush and other related activities. Must be on call (without compensation) in order to respond to weather related events and emergencies, 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
Background check and drug testing are required for employment.

NOW HIRING- TOWN OF ALDEN SEEKING PART TIME DEPUTY DOG CONTROL OFFICER
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid NYS Driver’s License. Annual Training is required by NYS Ag. And Markets Law.
Duties include: Catch/Seize, shelter, feed and obtain medical attention for stray/unlicensed/dangerous dogs and completing paperwork related thereto, on an as needed basis. Rate of pay: $20.00/hr.
