Appointments will be required for motorists needing to register their vehicles
Erie County, NY – As the May 7th deadline approaches, Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns has observed a substantial surge in REAL ID transactions at all six Erie County Auto Bureau branches and Mobile locations.
However, recognizing the urgent needs of motorists who must register vehicles amidst the busy REAL ID rush, Clerk Kearns has made a decisive move. The Eastern Hills Mall Branch will be open on select Mondays—April 28 and May 5—from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm specifically for vehicle registrations, renewals and license plate surrenders.
“Our top priority is to ensure our customers receive efficient and effective service,” stated Erie County Clerk Kearns. “With the impending May 7th enforcement date and significant increase in transaction volume, we are committed to being flexible and proactive in delivering superior service. The Eastern Hills Mall branch, which is normally closed on Mondays, will open just for vehicle registrations transactions on the next couple of Mondays, as we take the necessary steps to address our customers’ DMV needs.”
Appointments are required for the above event dates. To secure your online appointment for either of the specified dates, visit erie.gov/clerk/reservations, select Vehicle Registration (EHM), choose Eastern Hills Auto Bureau, and pick available date and time.
