Erie County Auto Bureau in Eastern Hills Mall to Close Temporarily Due to Heating Issues

Erie County, NY – The Erie County Auto Bureau announced that it will be closing the DMV located in the Eastern Hills Mall temporarily due to lack of heat in that section of mall. The closure will be effective Tuesday, December 17, 2024 until the heat can be restored.

“The temperature in the office was 58 degrees on Saturday and the environment is too cold for the staff to work in, as well as for our patrons,” stated Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns. “We apologize for the inconvenience. We are working with mall management to get the heating issue resolved as soon as quick as possible.”

In the meantime, customers who currently have reservations at the Eastern Hills Mall Branch can utilize any Erie County Auto Bureau Branch and their appointment will be honored on that day and time.

Additionally, the Auto Bureau located in West Seneca will have extended hours on Saturdays while the Eastern Hills Mall location not in operation. Beginning, Saturday, December 21st, the Southgate Plaza will be open 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.
