The Town is blessed with several year round attractions. Plus the community is a beehive of activity and very community minded.

Akron Falls Park - A year round attraction. The County park has many walking trails, picnicking areas, a fishing pond, and a falls. The park is next to the Village of Akron

Alpaca Farm - Kindred Kreek

Antique World - Flea Market & Co-ops

Akron Airport - The airport is on the eastern part of the town and village.

Akron Village - The village is very rural and quaint. It has several shops and a village square known as Russell Park.

Bike path and walking trail

   The Town has a bike path that goes east to west from the Village of Akron to the Clarence town line. Eventually, this       path will be completed to the Town of Tonawanda providing walkers and bicyclists a very beautiful area to be in.   (Bike path link)

Campgrounds - 

   Sleepy Hollow Lake and Leisurewood Recreational Community 

   are two large campgrounds within the town. They provide a variety of recreation for campers.

Darien Lake - Amusement park located a few miles southeast of the Town of Newstead.

Destroyer Park Golf - Park golf, as its name implies, is a sport created to allow people of all ages to enjoy golf in a park like, relaxed setting.  It resembles a sport somewhere between golf and croquet.

Golf Course - A golfers paradise in a very small area.  The Town of Newstead currently has 81 holes of playing golf located on four different golf courses.

Knight Sutton Museum - Take a step back in time at 123 Main St. in the Village of Akron and you will find the many memories and artifacts that make Akron so special. (No fee)

Nature escarpment - Just north of the Akron Airport is the nature escarpment that is protected by state law. Several rare varieties of plants are located there.  Parking is available off Scotland Rd.  Trails are easily accessible and marked.

Octagon House   - The famous Octagon house is in the middle of the Village of Akron. The facility has tours on a regular basis.

Pumpkin Farms -

Tonawanda Indian Reservation - The reservation lies northeast of the village about 4 miles.
