Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports two individuals were arrested at the conclusion of a felony larceny incident.
On August 1, 2023, at approximately 5:52 p.m., deputies responded Ulta Beauty on Transit Road in Clarence for a larceny complaint.
Utilizing the company’s GPS tracking device, deputies, assisted by Buffalo Police, performed a traffic stop on Northland Avenue in Buffalo. The driver and passenger were taken into custody.
While investigating, deputies observed a large purse in plain view which contained female fragrances.
The store’s security footage confirmed that the individuals were those involved in the incident.
29-year-old Taylor Johnson and 25-year-old Charlie Brown, both from Buffalo, were arrested.
Johnson is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property greater than $3000.00 and grand larceny 3rd – value exceeding $3000.00.
Brown is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property greater than $3000.00 and grand larceny 3rd – value exceeding $3000.00. Also, Brown was wanted by the Niagara Falls Police Department for grand larceny charges.
Brown was turned over to Niagara Falls Police, and Johnson was released on appearance tickets.
