SUSPECTED METH, CONCENTRATED CANNABIS, AND MARIJUANA SEIZED AFTER AN INVESTIGATION

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports an anonymous tip initiated an investigation into drug activity in Buffalo. That investigation resulted in the arrest of an individual and the seizure of approximately seventy pounds of illegally possessed marijuana, concentrated cannabis, and methamphetamine.

Sheriff’s Narcotics and Intelligence Unit detectives obtained search warrants for the target of the investigation, 45-year-old Mohamed Boukadida, and a warehouse that Boukadida utilizes at the corner of Broadway and Houghton streets in Buffalo.

Boukadida was observed leaving the building on an e-bicycle, and detectives followed him to the U.S. Post Office on William Street, where Boukadida was detained. Boukadida was in possession of two United States Postal Service packages.

An additional search warrant was obtained for the two U.S. Postal Service packages that Boukadida was attempting to mail. The packages contained a large amount of U.S. Currency secreted inside children’s toys.

Detectives later executed the search warrant for the warehouse, where they recovered a number of suspected methamphetamine pills, approximately seventy pounds of suspected marijuana, and a large amount of concentrated cannabis.

Boukadida is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a stimulant and criminal possession of cannabis – more than ten pounds.

The defendant is held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.
