SHERIFF’S OFFICE CONDUCTS FAMILY COURT WARRANT SWEEP

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announces the successful completion of a Family Court warrant sweep conducted on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Family Court Warrant and Child Support Enforcement Unit participated in the sweep and searched the City of Buffalo and Erie County for multiple individuals wanted on active Family Court warrants. The Sheriff’s Office focuses on Family Court warrant sweeps as a vital tool to combat crime and concentrate on persons not paying child support.

Deputies from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office arrested and took three subjects with six combined warrants into custody.

Arrested in the sweep were:

•    29-year-old Caron Fleming from Buffalo on a Family Court Warrant;

•    36-year-old Nicholas Eich from Lackawanna on a Family Court Child Support Warrant; and

•    31-year-old Mark Carpino from Amherst on a Family Court Child Support Warrant. Carpino also had multiple warrants out of Amherst and Buffalo.

Deputies are confident that intelligence gathered during the sweep will lead to several more arrests in the following days and weeks.
