Village of Alden, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports that a driver with thirty-six active suspensions was arrested following a traffic investigation.
On July 18, 2023, at approximately 10:16 p.m., deputies performed a traffic stop on Broadway Street in the Village of Alden. The investigation revealed that 32-year-old Matthew Enos of Shortsville, New York, had active suspensions and two arrest warrants from the New York State Police. Also, the license plates were registered to a different vehicle.
Enos was arrested, and a subsequent search of the vehicle found a quantity of crack cocaine.
The defendant is charged with a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle with ten or more suspensions, a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and three separate vehicle and traffic law violations.
