DETECTIVES MAKE AN ARREST FOLLOWING BOMB THREAT

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of 42-year-old Bradley O’Hara of Cheektowaga following an investigation into a bomb threat at the Rath Building on June 21, 2023.

At approximately 9:50 a.m., the Erie County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad responded to a bomb threat at the Rath Building. Sheriff’s bomb technicians and explosives detection K9, Viva, searched the area with negative results. Once the area was deemed safe for customers and employees, the scene was turned over to detectives from the Sheriff’s Investigative Services Division.

Sheriff’s detectives were able to identify a suspect and discovered that O’Hara was in Cheektowaga Police custody after being arrested for an unrelated incident.

Detectives interviewed the individual and subsequently arrested and charged O’Hara with a felony count of making a terroristic threat. The defendant is remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.
