BUFFALO WOMAN ARRESTED FOR FENTANYL SALES IN ALLENTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD
Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the Erie County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Intelligence Unit arrested 39-year-old Vernise Williams on drug-related charges on May 5, 2023.
A month-long investigation headed up by the Sheriff’s Office and assisted by the Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant signed by Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin Keane for Williams and her vehicle. The search recovered a quantity of fentanyl.
Williams is charged with:
• One felony count of criminal sale of a controlled substance – ½ oz. narcotic drug;
• Four felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell;
• Three felony counts of criminal sale of a narcotic;
• Two felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic;
• One misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The defendant was arraigned and released without bail on May 6, 2023.
