Recently, the Comptroller's Office has sent a series of letters to the Board of Directors for the Western Region Off-Track Betting Corporation, regarding the hotel at Batavia Downs, benefits received by Board Members, the use of external legal counsel, the retention of outside lobbyists, and the possible misuse of promotional and marketing materials as previously noted by the Office of the State Comptroller.
