SENIOR AUDITOR (Full-Time)
Starting Annual Salary: $73,861*
*Eligible for potential step pay scale increase after 26 weeks of employment.
The work involves directing, coordinating, and performing financial, compliance, management, performance, and EDP and special emphasis audits, as assigned by the Deputy Comptroller-Audit. The work includes supervising and controlling individual audit assignments to ensure their timely and accurate completion, in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, procedures, and techniques. The incumbent exercises independent judgment in finalizing audit reports, reaching conclusions and making appropriate comments and recommendations. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Deputy Comptroller-Audit. Supervision is exercised over subordinate employees. Does related work as required.
PROMOTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class and must be serving and have served continuously on a permanent or contingent permanent basis, which may include any immediately proceeding provisional time served, in the competitive class for 24 months immediately preceding the date of the posting as an Staff Auditor (CSEA JG:11)
NOTE : Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements
This is a provisional appointment and the incumbent may need to take a future exam and be reachable on resulting Civil Service eligible list.
