The town’s new Highway Garage at 6223 Goodrich Rd. was officially opened and Pastor Steve Biegner delivered blessed the building on Dec. 12, during the Highway Department’s annual Christmas lunch. The 68,000 square foot facility features a new single-lane parking system enabling snow plows to exit the garage swiftly and begin plowing without delay.
Supervisor Patrick Casilio credited Highway Superintendent Dussing, Deputy Superintendent Paul Englert, and Town Engineer Tim Lavocat for their leadership in what he described as one of the largest projects in Town of Clarence history. Director of Administration and Finance Kimberly Ignatowski and Town Attorney Larry Meckler also played key roles in the $23M project which came in under budget and was built without raising taxes.
