Legislator Todaro recognizes Russell J. Salvatore as Citizen of the Month

Erie County Legislator Frank J. Todaro presented the September Citizen of the Month honors to Mr. Russell J. Salvatore in recognition of his many contributions to the region as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Mr. Salvatore is the owner of Russell’s Steaks, Chops, and More, a very successful restaurant and hotel. He has also built relationships with organizations such as Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Variety Club of Buffalo as well as Trocaire College, where he helped build the School of Hospitality.

Mr. Salvatore came from humble beginnings starting in his father’s saloon/restaurant and through strong work ethic, started a business that would become one of the most famous in the country. Legislator Todaro joined him at his restaurant Tuesday morning to present him with a proclamation celebrating his accomplishments and thanking him for his continued generosity.

Legislator Todaro said, “Every month, the County Legislature recognizes an outstanding citizen who we believe is an exemplary member of our community. In my opinion, there are few people who are more deserving of this honor than Russell Salvatore. He has given to so many groups and organizations throughout the years and I’m happy that I can honor him. Thank you so much for all you do Russell.”
