Public Hearing Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to New York State Tax Law, Section 1432 and General Municipal Law, Article 2, Section 6-d, the Erie County Legislature will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M., at 92 Franklin Street, 4th Floor, Buffalo, New York 14202.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear public comment concerning:

•    The appropriation of $13,500,000 of Transfer Tax revenue from the
Erie County Road Repair Reserve Fund (budgeted 2024 revenue) for
road and bridge work in 2025; and

•    The appropriation of $3,000,000 of prior year surplus Transfer Tax
revenue from the Erie County Road Repair Reserve Fund for road
and bridge work in 2025.

Public Hearing Notice - Proposed Modification to Agricultural Districts

PROPOSED MODIFICATION TO AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT


At the direction of Erie County Legislative Chair, Timothy J. Meyers, Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Legislature of the County of Erie, on the 28th of March 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chambers of the Erie County Legislature, 4th Floor, Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St., Buffalo, NY  14202, concerning the eight-year review of Southeast Agricultural District #15 in accordance with sec. 303-a of NYS Agricultural and Markets Law. The following will be considered:


Modification request to remove 1 parcel in the Town of North Collins totaling 12.1 acres
Modification request to remove 2 parcels in the Town of Concord totaling 20.2 acres


The hearing shall consider the requests and recommendations of the County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board (AFPB). All applications submitted and the Erie County AFPB report to the Legislature on recommended parcel inclusions are available at: erie.gov/agriculture
