Lancaster, N.Y. -- On behalf of Erie County, Legislator Frank Todaro presented a $15,000 check to the Hull House Foundation to help fund a barn restoration project on the property.
The Hull Family Home and Farmstead, located on Genesee Street in Lancaster, is the oldest fully-restored stone dwelling in Erie County. Members of the foundation work tirelessly to preserve the landmark and offer visitors a glimpse into the early 19th century.
Legislator Todaro said, “This funding for the Hull House Foundation is well-deserved! The members go above and beyond to preserve history and educate our community on this impressive local landmark. I know these funds are going toward an exciting project and look forward to seeing the barn’s completion.”
