LEGISLATOR FRANK TODARO SUPPORTS FUNDING FOR TOWN OF CHEEKTOWAGA’S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING AND EVENT RESPONSE

(Buffalo, NY) Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently voted to approve funding for the Town of Cheektowaga Office of Emergency Management Active Shooter and Hostile Event Response program.

The funding will support the purchase of equipment and other related assets to strengthen the Town’s emergency preparedness by improving response capabilities, coordination, and access to critical resources before and during an emergency.

“Public safety must be a top priority,” said Legislator Todaro. “Nobody wants to think about these types of crises, but it is far better to be prepared than reactive. That is why I am proud to support this investment in protecting our residents and first responders.”
