Michael H. Kooshoian

Hon. Michael H. Kooshoian
District 3

Honorable Michael H. Kooshoian is a resident of the Town of Tonawanda where he resides with his wife Jaclyn, and his two daughters.  He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.  Michael has worked as an attorney for over 15 years.

Legislator Kooshoian previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Erie County District Attorney’s Office as a Prosecutor in the Felony Trials Bureau.  During his time as an attorney he has served in the Town of Tonawanda as their Deputy Town Attorney and Town Attorney as the head of the municipality’s legal department.

Legislator Kooshoian was appointed to Erie County’s Third Legislative seat on November 17th, 2022 after former Legislator Lisa Chimera vacated the seat.  He received unanimous support of the Democratic Committee members and the Majority Caucus.  He is honored to serve the communities of Tonawanda, Kenmore, Grand Island and North Buffalo.
