Erie County Legislator Chris Greene announced the Erie County Legislature has approved funding for overlay work on Greiner Road from Transit Road to Anfield Road in the Town of Clarence. Approval of this funding is the next step toward performing the necessary work.
“This stretch of road has a daily traffic count of about 13,000 vehicles. The road has deteriorated and is not in the condition it needs to be to handle this traffic count. It has received a road score of 7 out of 10. While I hope that more road improvements can ultimately be made further down Greiner, this at least is a good start,” said Erie County Legislator Chris Greene.
Approval of this funding now allows the Administration to enter into a construction contract with the lowest responsible bidder. Once that contract is executed, construction work will begin immediately thereafter. The aim is to complete the project within the 2025 construction season.
