The Erie County Department of Social Services (“ECDSS”) advises the public that New York's Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system will be temporarily unavailable on Sunday, May 19, 2024, between 12:01 AM and 11:00 AM. This outage is due to the transition to a new EBT vendor. While the actual duration of the outage may vary, updates will be available on https://otda.ny.gov/ .
During this time, EBT cardholders will not have access to their benefits, including food and cash purchases or withdrawals. In addition, the customer service channels such as the toll-free helpline, mobile app, and online portal will be unavailable. It is recommended to plan food and cash purchases accordingly.
