ERIE COUNTY ANNOUNCES CALL FOR ARTISTS

Public artwork opportunity at Buffalo Convention Center; selected projects could receive funding of up to $2,000 per piece 

 

ERIE COUNTY, NY— Erie County is pleased to announce a new Call for Artists as part of the Arts in Public Places program, focusing on works to be installed exclusively in the Buffalo Convention Center. This opportunity is for artists residing in Erie County, with selected projects receiving funding of up to $2,000 per piece.

 

All works will be prominently displayed within the Buffalo Convention Center, providing high visibility and engagement with diverse audiences.

 

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

 

A virtual Q&A session will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 (time to be announced). Artists interested in applying are strongly encouraged to attend to learn more about the opportunity, selection process, and project requirements.

This project is administered by the Erie County Department of Environment & Planning and the Arts in Public Places Committee, which is dedicated to commissioning public art that reflects the diversity, creativity, and voices of Erie County residents.
