TOWN AND COUNTY PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS
DUE FEBRUARY 18, 2025
No fee will be charged on taxes paid on or before February 18, 2025. U. S. postmark (only) is also accepted.
Penalties are added as follows:
February 19 – February 28 Inclusive 1.5 %
March 1 – March 17 Inclusive 3.0 %
March 18– March 31 Inclusive 4.5 %
April 1– April 15 Inclusive 6.0 %
April 16 – April 30 Inclusive 7.5 %
On May 1st, the 7.5% penalty fee is added to the unpaid levy, forming the new base tax then due. Thereafter, interest is added to the base at the rate of 1.5% per month on the first of each month, making 18.78% in all when unpaid taxes are sold in November.
Taxes may be paid by mail to Karen Hawes, Town Clerk, Town of Clarence, One Town Place, Clarence, NY 14031. You can also pay at the Town Clerk’s Office from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday – Friday.
A night deposit box is available to the right of the front entrance at the Town Hall.
Bank online bill pay is NOT suggested and if you chose to utilize it, you do so at your own risk. Meter marked mail will NOT be accepted in lieu of postmark date.
