Having received the 2026-2027 School Tax Warrants and rolls dated September 1, 2026 for the Clarence Central School District, the Williamsville Central School District and the Akron Central School District, Karen Lang, Town Clerk of the Town of Clarence announces the following:

Taxes may be paid Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, One Town Place, Clarence, New York or mailed to same; or online at www4.erie.gov/clarence (note that fees do apply).

• A night deposit box is available to the right of the main entrance at the Town Hall, door that faces the north, on the brick wall prior to entering the building.
• Payments made by October 15, 2026 are free of penalties. 
• From October 16th through November 2nd - 7.5% penalties are charged. 
• From November 3rd through November 30th - 9.0% penalties including interest are charged.
• Bank online bill pay is NOT suggested and if you chose to utilize it, you do so at your own risk. The envelopes do not come with the USPS stamp acceptable by the law. 
• USPS has changed their procedures for mail drop off boxes, appropriate postal stamp must be obtained by postal clerk by walking in the office. 
• Tax Rates per One Thousand Dollars of Assessed Value are as follows:     

                        Clarence Central - $53,992,436.50

                        Williamsville Central - $15,888,355.89

                        Akron Central - $74,601.01
