Legal Notice
Having received the 2024-2025 School Tax Warrants and rolls dated September 1, 2024 for the Clarence Central School District, the Williamsville Central School District and the Akron Central School District, Karen Hawes, Town Clerk of the Town of Clarence announces the following:
Taxes may be paid Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, One Town Place, Clarence, New York or mailed to same; or online at www2.erie.gov/clarence (note that fees do apply).
- A night deposit box is available to the right of the front entrance at the Town Hall.
- Payments made by October 15th are free of penalties.
- From October 16th through October 31st - 7.5% penalties are charged.
- From November 1st through December 2nd - 9.0% penalties including interest are charged.
- Bank online bill pay is NOT suggested and if you chose to utilize it, you do so at your own risk.
- Tax Rates per One Thousand Dollars of Assessed Value are as follows:
Clarence Central - $50,594,938.41
Williamsville Central - $14,602,042.26
Akron Central - $69,519.74
