Town Highway Superintendent James Dussing Named to Transportation Advisory Panel

Town of Clarence Highway Superintendent James A. Dussing has accepted an appointment to become a member of the New York State Local Technical Assistance Program (NYS LTAP) Advisory Panel.

Operated by the Cornell University Local Roads Program, the panel provides training, technical assistance and information to municipal agencies responsible for the maintenance, construction and management of local highways and bridges in New York State.

“Our Town Highway Department crews perform important work every day,” Superintendent Dussing said. “This appointment is a reflection of their unwavering dedication, which benefits residents and taxpayers 24/7, 365.”

Since October 2025, Superintendent Dussing has been president of the New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways. He was elected Town Highway Superintendent in 2013.

NYS LTAP provides unbiased, timely, and exceptional technical assistance and training to highway and public works departments across New York State to help improve the quality and safety of roads and streets. It supports local communities through strong collaborations with partners that enhance the sustainability of local highway assets.
