Fireworks in the Park Feb 20, 2026 Meeting Notes

February 20, 2026
2026 Fireworks in the Park event dates:
Monday, June 29th
Rain Date:  Tuesday, June 30th

Next committee meeting:  20 March at 9:30 am via "Teams"

Meeting Attendees;  Veronica Jenks, Sarah Goodyear, Dawn Snyder, Dawn Kinney, Bob Altieri

Items discussed:

1.)  Veronica Jenks - Eagles Wings - All set to be the MC at the event.  Will contact the high school music department to locate students that would be interested in singing "America the Beautiful" and/or the "National Anthem".  The group in attendance agreed that our future meetings will be via Zoom to make it easier for everyone to attend.  Veronica agreed to take the lead on setting our future meetings up on "TEAMS".  Veronica sent out "Teams" invitations via email to our full committee inviting everyone to our next 20 March meeting at 9:30 am.

2.)  Sarah Goodyear - St. Paul's Church - All set for selling baked goods with the St. Paul's group.

3.)  Dawn Snyder - Clarence Community Foundation - Has reserved the Bounce Houses, will have snacks, drinks, games and Chic-Fil-E sandwiches. This year will have a "virtual photo booth" that is used via text.  Will work on completing her Insurance Cert early.  Suggested that every other committee member that requires insurance certs to do the same.  Dawn received approval from her contact at Northtowns to pay for up to 4 large (4' x 8') Fireworks in the Park signs that we can place in a number of key locations around town instead of the small road signs.  This group suggested placing these signs at the following locations; Main at Sheridan in front of Rite Aid, at the 4 corners at Goodrich and Clarence Center Roads, Main at Goodrich and one in front of the High School at Main and Gunville.  If these signs require a backer, we have sheets of plywood at the clubhouse that were previously used for our Day in the Park event.  Dawn also will complete her "Crowd Management Training" certificate.

4.)  Dawn Kinney - Youth Bureau - Will have face painting, kids tatoos, and 250th anniversary red, white and blue streamers for the kids.

5,)  Bob Altieri - Fireworks have been scheduled.  Working with Young Explosives to get "special fireworks" for this years 250th anniversary celebration.  Will work on the following;
