Please find the following notes from our 24 April Fireworks in the Park zoom call.  

Our next remote committee meeting will again be a zoom call hosted by Veronica Jenks on Friday, 29 May.  Veronica will send out the meeting link the week before the call.  Thanks Veronica!

Meeting attendees;

Dawn Snyder, Dawn Kinney, Amy Engler, Veronica Jenks, Jason Holden, Dave Wind, Patrick Casilio, Dan Michnik and Bob Altieri.

1.)  Dawn Snyder - Clarence Community Foundation

Inflatables, Chick-fil-A sandwiches have been ordered.  Will do outdoor games for the kids.  Dawn will work with Chrissy Casilio to finalize the artwork for the road signs and the flyers for the elementary schools.  We plan to get the flyers to the schools the week of 08 June.  Dawn’s certificate of insurance has been approved by Jennifer.

2.)  Dawn Kinney - Youth Bureau

All set with kids games, face painting and the temporary tattoos.

3.)  Amy Engler - Chamber

Made arrangements to increase quantity of popcorn and kettle corn.  Working with Michelle Brownschidle’s Girl Scout troop to sell the glow items.

4.)  Veronica Jenks - Eagles Wings

All set to be the MC. 

Brynn Jalal has agreed to sing the National Anthem.  Veronica is looking to find other singers for this event. Possibly last years singer as well as the choral group from the high school.  She will plan to assign time slots to each singer / group.

5.)  Jason Holden - Parks Superintendent 

Will plan to order 5 port-a-potties and a hand washing station.

Still good with his list of tasks that he presented at our first meeting.

6.)  Dave Wind and Dave Swarts - Boy Scout Troop 93

All set with the Parking.

7.)  Patrick Casilio - Town Supervisor

All set with the sound system.  Town security still needs to be arranged.  Mentioned that we need to be prepared in the event of a thunderstorm or an active shooter.  Bob told the group that these items are included as part of the towns Public Safety Plan that has been submitted and approved by Joe Saletta.

8.)  Marty Helowicz- Clarence Citizens for Veterans

Beer - Marty told me that Try-It has been sold and the new company is no longer providing beer for our type of events.  Marty is working with 3 other beer suppliers to replace Try-It.

9.)  Dan Cummiskey - Food and Clarence Fire company liaison

Dan has confirmed that the soccer club will be all set to do the pizza for both Monday and the rain date Tuesday.  They will not schedule games on Tuesday.  They assured us that last years problem will not happen again this year.  

Boy’s baseball is all set with the ice cream and Dan is working with Bobby Baker to organize who will man the hot dog grill for girls softball.  

10.) Bill Weisbeck and Connie Martucci - Clarence  Lions

Planning to sell nachos with cheese and possibly helping out on the grill for the hot dogs?

11.)  Bob Altieri 

Working with Mitchell Martin and Sheriff Joe Reeves to have their sheriff’s patrols to be in attendance.

12.)  Sarah Goodyear - St. Paul's - Baked Goods

All set for this year!

13.)  Monica Mooney - Clarence Library

All set with the book giveaway!

*If you have Certificates of Insurance please make sure that you send them to Bob or Jennifer as soon as possible for review and approval.
