Clarence is aware of a scam targeting applicants who have requested an action of the Town. The fraudulent email is being sent from an outside entity, requesting an email response for wire money transfer instructions.

Be aware that Clarence will never request wire money transfers, and any and all digital Town communication occurs through “@clarence.ny.us” email addresses.

If you receive a suspicious request, please call the Office of Planning and Zoning at 716-741-8933 to inquire prior to conducting any communication through the potentially fraudulent request.
