The Clarence Town Board approved the 2017 Budget at the November 2, 2016 Town Board meeting. The Town’s General Fund and Highway Fund tax rates showed a decrease from the 2016 Budget, as did some of the other Special Districts. The Town Board and Department Heads were able to produce a budget that stays under the New York State Tax Cap of .68%. Both the Town Board and the Department Heads remain committed to running a fiscally conservative government that keeps the tax rate low for Town of Clarence residents while providing additional services for those same taxpayers in a cost efficient manner. The Supervisor and Town Board members did not receive a salary increase in this budget.
