York Norman is a professor of Middle Eastern and Eastern European history at Buffalo State University. He focuses on twentieth century Turkish political thought. He has published a book Celal Nuri: Young Turk Modernizer and Muslim Nationalist in 2021 and is currently working on an analysis of Turkish nationalists from 1923 until 1980.
