Elizabeth Forkl |
In 2023 Elizabeth Forkl and Andrew Marts attended the Erie county Fair with a few co-workers, set up a table, had a 911 simulator, and engaged with kids and adults from all over. It was an eye opener to learn that many people are not as knowledgeable about calling 911. This is our lifeline, our outlet for help, and being able to know what you’re doing when you need help is very important. So My co-worker and I sat there and brainstormed an idea to pitch to our supervisor, and maybe even higher. An idea to teach, inform and educate the public on how the 911 system works. We highlight the technology we use, information the caller may need, and are able to conduct a practice 911 call on our simulator. From this, “Reach Out To 911” was then created, and have since reached over 10,000 individuals.

Sherry Lyn Hartel |
As with many holistic healers, I started out doing one thing, Architecture, but health challenges redirected me onto a healer path. Seeing my holistic vet work with animals - I wanted a doctor like her for me, only I couldn’t find one, so I became one. I use many holistic techniques used throughout time by ancient cultures to find & resolve root causes underlying health challenges. Our bodies are innately powerful, capable of healing so much, when we learn to listen to them. Our illnesses & injuries show us what we're not seeing. My goal is to help others look at their lives to discover what they need to heal. Mind, body, & spirit are as intertwined in us as we are within the world we live in. Connect these dots and we flow into a life full of vitality, joy & magic.
