"Judge Buchanan was elected to a 10 year term as an Erie County Family Court Judge, and appointed as a Judicial Hearing Officer in the 8 counties of WNY. He presided over cases involving Child Custody and Visitation, Abuse and Neglect, Domestic Violence, Juvenile Justice, Child Support, Paternity and Adoption. He created a Nationally recognized program to divert youth from detention. He was a Law Clerk to NYS Supreme Court Justice for 14 years. He is a Volunteer Mediator for Child and Family Services."
