Nada Odeh

Nada Odeh is a Syrian artist, activist, and humanitarian whose work centers on cultural heritage and the experiences of displaced Syrians. She is the Founder and Director of Arabesques, a nonprofit that celebrates Middle Eastern and North African arts, and the Founder of QuartsX, which provides creative and consulting services for museums and cultural institutions. Originally from Damascus, she launched her project “Nada’s Picassos” there before bringing it to Dubai, Michigan, and now New York State. Working primarily in acrylics and Arabic miniatures, her art reflects Middle Eastern colors, intricate detail, and stories of Syrian refugees, especially women in exile. She holds an M.A. in Museum Studies from Syracuse University and a B.A. in Fine Arts from Damascus University. As a freelance curator, she has developed projects on immigration and folklore arts, creating platforms that uplift immigrant communities and foster cross-cultural dialogue.
