Eric Deutsch

Eric A. Deutsch, Ph.D., J.D., is a historian, educator, and professional mediator based in Western New York. He has taught at San Francisco State University, the University at Buffalo, and in community-based mediation programs, where he is known for making complex historical and cultural issues accessible and engaging for varied audiences. His teaching draws on expertise in disability history, legal history, conflict resolution, and the cultural forces that shape American life. As founder of The Mediation Offices of Eric A. Deutsch, he integrates trauma-informed practice, communication strategy, and historical insight into his work with families and communities. Eric is committed to lifelong learning and to helping people understand the histories that have shaped their world.
