Heather Thuman is a passionate high school science teacher with a master’s degree in geology and over a decade of experience inspiring young minds. Her love for the natural world began with childhood rock collections and evolved into a deep interest in Earth’s dynamic systems. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology , she pursued advanced studies in geology, focusing on Archaeological Geophysics. In the classroom, Mrs. Thuman is known for her hands-on approach, engaging students through experiments, and real-world connections. She believes science should be both accessible and exciting, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and environmental awareness. Beyond teaching, she enjoys hiking, traveling and sharing her passion for rocks and fossils.
