Aileen is a multidisciplinary artist from San Juan, Puerto Rico, who has become a dynamic presence in the Buffalo arts scene since relocating in 2011. She serves as Art Director for the Hispanic Heritage Council and co-founded Los Artistas Del Barrio (LADB), a collective that supports artists through mentorship and inclusive exhibitions. Her creative influence is especially visible along Niagara Street—now known as Avenida San Juan—where she contributed to public murals and the design of welcoming arches that celebrate cultural identity and community. Aileen also engages youth and older adults through the Buffalo School Saturday Academy, fostering intergenerational artistic experiences. She curates Beyond Borders, an annual exhibition at the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center that promotes inclusivity and cross-cultural dialogue. Currently, she leads Healing Through Art workshops for older adults at West Side Community Services, continuing her mission to use art as a tool for connection, empowerment, and healing.
