Minority Leader and Erie County Legislator John Mills announced primetime funding has been approved for various organizations in his district. The Girl Scouts of WNY, Great Falls Council, Inc.- Boy Scouts of America, Be A Friend Program Inc.-Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara and Southern Tier, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County, Cradle Beach, Inc., Boys and Girls Club of Eden, Town of Hamburg Youth, Recreation and Senior Services and the Village of Hamburg.
“These organizations provide an outlet for our young people in the summer months. They participate in various activities, socialize with their peers, all while being supervised by adults. It’s a great opportunity for them,” said Legislator Mills.
The organizations partner with the Department of Social Services. The funding comes from the Youth Bureau’s 2025 operating budget.
“I’m happy to support these various organizations. They all do great work with our young people in enriching their lives and providing great opportunities during the summer months,” said Legislator Mills.
