Erie County Legislator John Mills (11th District) today announced infrastructure work is set to begin along a section of Abbott Road that will impact motorists who typically use that road. The Erie County Department of Highways will replace the watermain on Abbott road from Willet Road to Fisher Road, with work beginning March 15.
“This project is needed. I’m glad it’s getting done. But residents who use that stretch of road need to be aware that commutes may take longer as a result,” said Legislator Mills.
Abbott Road, from Willet to Fisher Roads will have a North and South bound single lane road closure beginning March 15th. It is anticipated the project will be completed November 1. Construction and lane closures will begin at Abbott and Willet and progress north along Abbott Road. The work is being performed for the Erie County Water Authority.
