LEGISLATOR LORIGO TOURS MASTERSON’S GARDEN CENTER

Erie County, NY – Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo recently visited Masterson’s Garden Center in East Aurora, where she toured the family-owned business and learned more about its operations, horticultural programs, and continued investment in the local community. Lorigo previously recognized the business with a proclamation celebrating its 40th anniversary. The visit was part of her ongoing effort to meet with local employers and small businesses throughout the 10th Legislative District and learn more about the opportunities and challenges facing the local business community.

“Many thanks to Legislator Lorigo for visiting us in recognition of our 40 plus years in business. I, along with my family and dedicated staff, have been honored and privileged to have served East Aurora and surrounding communities for many years,” said owner Mike Masterson. “As a local, family owned and operated business, we are forever grateful for the support we receive from our customers in all our efforts including our water gardening, beekeeping and native plant departments. We love what we do and look forward to many more years.”

During the visit, Masterson discussed the evolution of the business, its specialty gardening departments, and the role multiple generations of the Masterson family continue to play in its continued success.

“It was a pleasure to tour Masterson’s Garden Center and see firsthand how this family business has grown over the past four decades. I was especially impressed by their commitment to giving back through the Helmets to Hives program, which gives veterans the opportunity to participate in therapeutic beekeeping at their community apiary,” said Legislator Lindsay Lorigo.

Masterson’s Garden Center, located at 12279 Olean Road in East Aurora, has served Western New York for more than four decades and is open seven days a week during the summer season.
