Erie County, NY – Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo recently joined Concord Highway Superintendent Larry Heim for a tour of roads in that community and to see firsthand the challenges they face in ensuring proper maintenance of the roads.
“It was a pleasure to join Superintendent Heim of the Concord Highway Department for a road tour. The Concord Highway crew continues to do a fantastic job maintaining town roads and infrastructure, but it remains an ongoing challenge to get county-owned roads properly addressed,” said Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo.
Road maintenance goes beyond repaving and filling potholes. The necessary work includes resealing, ditching, drainage improvements and tree trimming. Several county roads are scheduled for some improvements this year. They include Genesee, Abbott Hill, Hoffman and Brown Hill Roads.
“While that’s a positive step, there are still many roads in desperate need of attention and I will continue advocating to ensure they receive the necessary improvements,” said Legislator Lorigo.
“The road tour with Legislator Lorio was very productive and provided the legislator with some insight into the area’s infrastructure needs. I’m happy Legislator Lorigo was able to spend some time discussing some of our challenges and infrastructure issues in the Town of Concord and surrounding towns,” said Concord Highway Superintendent Larry Heim.
