Legislator Lorigo
ERIE COUNTY- Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo attended the annual 9/11 ceremony put on by the Wales Historical Society. This year’s tribute was particularly significant, as it marked 25 years since the attacks in New York, the Pentagon and in the skies over Pennsylvania.
“We must never forget the terror people experienced that day, particularly those in the World Trade Center Towers who had no way out and were faced with unimaginable decisions. I also think it’s important to remember how we came together as a nation on September 12th and the days and weeks that followed. I hope one day we can get back to being the country we were on that day,” said Legislator Lorigo.
The Legislator also recognized the survivors and first responders, many who later became ill as a result of their rescue and recovery work at Ground Zero.
