Lindsay Lorigo has served as the Erie County Legislator for the 10th District since taking office in 2024. Her district includes the towns and villages of Aurora, Colden, Concord, Elma, Holland, Sardinia, Wales, West Seneca, East Aurora, and Springville. Since being elected, Legislator Lorigo has established herself as a committed public servant focused on fiscal responsibility, transparency, and pragmatic, common-sense governance.
In her first term, Lorigo authored and successfully passed the Erie County Meetings Transparency Act, a landmark bipartisan law that increases government openness and accessibility. The legislation requires all county boards and commissions to provide timely public notice of meetings, publish minutes promptly, record and share meeting proceedings, and allow residents meaningful opportunities for public comment. This law has significantly improved public engagement and accountability in Erie County government.
Beyond transparency, Lorigo has been a strong advocate for careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars. She has opposed unnecessary expansions of county government, including new positions not deemed essential, and pushed back against fee increases that could place additional burdens on families, such as proposed hikes to county park admissions. Her work focuses on balancing the delivery of quality public services with prudent fiscal management.
Recognizing the diverse needs of her constituents, Legislator Lorigo has prioritized investments in infrastructure, especially rural road maintenance and repair. She understands that safe and reliable transportation networks are vital to both economic vitality and quality of life. Additionally, she supports funding for public safety, libraries, cultural institutions, and nonprofit organizations that serve the community’s most vulnerable residents.
Before her election, Lorigo built a successful career in digital marketing, bringing analytical skills and a data-driven approach to public service. She was named a 2025 Rising Star by the New York State Young Republicans and received the Woodrow Wilson Award from Canisius College, where she earned both her undergraduate and MBA degrees.
Outside of the Legislature, Lindsay Lorigo coaches youth sports and serves as a member of the Kids Escaping Drugs Substance-Free Coalition. Above all else, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son and is proud to call West Seneca home.
