Erie County Legislator Chris Greene has introduced a law that would allow veterans in Erie County a greater property tax exemption.
The previous maximum deductions were set at 18,000, 12,000, and 60,000 in 1997, and the new local law would set them at 30,000, 20,000, and 100,000.
Legislator Greene said, “We should always look to provide greater benefits to our veterans. I am proud to be a sponsor of this law that will offer more property tax relief for the men and women who served.”
