Assemblywoman Peoples-Stokes has served the 141st Assembly District since 2003
ERIE COUNTY, NY— Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz today issued the following statement regarding the retirement of NYS Assembly Majority leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes after serving Buffalo’s 141st Assembly District since 2003. People-Stokes also served in the Erie County Legislature from 1993 until 2002, being appointed Majority Leader there in 1998.
Poloncarz statement: “Majority Leader Peoples-Stokes has always been a strong advocate for her community and has represented their concerns at every level of government she has worked at. I thank her for her many years of service, first to Erie County as a legislator and then the people of our state as an assembly person and majority leader, and I wish her well in her retirement.”
