Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz has issued a Travel Advisory for Erie County beginning at 10:00 PM today, Sunday, January 18.
Significant snowfall, high winds and blowing snow are expected to create at times near-white-out conditions across the area as a multi-day lake-effect winter storm system crosses Western New York.
Residents are advised to avoid travel if possible. If travel is unavoidable, be sure your vehicle is prepared for winter driving and has a winter survival kit inside.
