ERIE COUNTY FALL FEST HIGHLIGHTS BUSY AUTUMN SEASON IN COUNTY PARKS

Free, Family Fun Saturday, September 28 from 10 AM – 4 PM at Como Lake Park 

 

Entrance to the Event will only be available at Bowen Road; all other entrances will be closed

 

 

ERIE COUNTY, NY— The Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry is preparing its biggest free public event of the year, Fall Fest, and will be greeting enthusiastic families and children with lots of seasonal fun on Saturday, September 28 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Como Lake Park (casino area) in Lancaster. With more activities, foods, and organizations to visit each year, fall fest continues to grow and has become a family fall tradition for many in Erie County. 

 

“Fall Fest is always a great time and is very popular with families and children,” said Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz. “This year should be no exception, so I encourage everyone interested in attending to plan for a busy day.”

 

Parking in Como Lake Park will be limited so take the Shuttle Bus! Visitors are strongly encouraged to park at the William Street School (5201 William St, Lancaster, NY 14086) and take the free shuttle bus to the event. Three shuttles will run continuously to and from the event all day and the route is quick!

 

Activities at Fall Fest 2024 include: 

 

  • Food trucks and food vendors including House of Munch, Brisket Love BBQ, Fat Bob's BBQ, Charlie's Waffles, Cheesy Chick, The Blend, Polish Villa, Ronny's Take Out, Big Papa's Creamery, and Buffalo Bros Burgers!
  • Live animals with Kester Farms Alpacas
  • Hayrides
  • Visit the Buffalo and Erie County bookmobile
  • Learn more about LiveWell Erie at the Live Well Erie van 
  • Free pumpkins
  • The Seymour VBN truck will be on hand 
  • Live music by PA Line 
  • Uplifting family entertainment by the UP Guys 
  • Seasonal arts and crafts with members of the Lancaster Youth Bureau
  • Children's mountain bike clinic by Western New York Mountain Bicycling Association 

 

 

Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Forestry Troy P. Schinzel added, “We have lot going on at Fall fest 2024 so we are encouraging attendees to use the shuttle parking lots to make parking easier and keep congestion down. There’s lots to see and our department looks forward to seeing lots of smiling faces at Fall Fest.”

Parking in Como Lake Park will be limited! DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE IN COMO LAKE PARK OTHER THAN IN THE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS.

 

If you choose to park in Como Lake Park, enter at the Bowen Road entrance ONLY. All other entrances will be CLOSED. Follow cones, flags and staff direction to the designated parking areas. Please follow staff directions in the parking lots to ensure a smooth and safe arrangement and flow of traffic. Please be mindful of pedestrians crossing and along the roadways.
