The Erie County Division of Consumer Protection today announced a court order against the owner of a home improvement contracting company for alleged unlawful business practices.
The court order against Andrew Dugan and his company A.W.D. Construction Designs LLC requires Dugan to pay $11,950 for unlawful business acts.
“Erie County has no tolerance for anyone who fails to provide consumers with the services they paid for,” said Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz. “Anyone who scams hardworking residents and cheats them out of any amount of money should face legal consequences. Home improvement contractors must comply with the laws on the books or we will take action to hold them accountable.”
Consumers who have not already filed a complaint with the Erie County Division of Consumer Protection and believe they paid A.W.D. Construction Designs LLC for services that they did not receive should call 716-858-1987 or visit Consumer Protection Complaint Form | Consumer Protection to file a consumer protection complaint. Complaints must be received by Tuesday, April 26.
This case is being handled by the Erie County Attorney’s Office under the supervision of Assistant County Attorney Jennifer Hemming and with assistance from the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
