Lauren Nash

Lauren Nash was named Deputy District Attorney – Executive Assistant, as part of District Attorney John J. Flynn’s leadership team, in January 2024.

During her more than 16-year career as a prosecutor, Deputy DA Nash has handled thousands of criminal cases in nearly all of our office’s bureaus, including Major Crimes, Narcotics, Special Investigations and Prosecutions (SIP), Training and Felony Trials

Prior to her appointment to Deputy District Attorney, Nash served as the Chief of the Justice Courts Bureau who was responsible for overseeing prosecution of criminal matters in the 38 local courts in the cities, towns and villages throughout Erie County. As bureau chief, Nash served as a mentor to our prosecutors and closely supervised their caseloads as they began handling more serious criminal matters early in their careers. She has provided training to Assistant District Attorneys in all phases of a criminal case, including initial intake, case reviews, prosecution strategies, discovery and trial preparation.

Deputy DA Nash is a native of Long Island who graduate from Floral Park Memorial High School. She received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo. She obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from University at Buffalo School of Law. Prior to joining the Erie County District Attorney’s Office in 2006, she worked at a law firm in the New York City-area.
