LEGISLATOR MALCZEWSKI RECOGNIZES LOCAL LIBRARIES AND STAFF AS PART OF NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK

Toured Libraries and Met With Library Directors

Erie County Legislator Jim Malczewski (10th District) recently toured several public libraries in his district and met with library directors to discuss programming, funding, and the importance of the local libraries in the communities he serves.

“These libraries are great resources for the community.  I saw firsthand how popular their programs and offerings are.  The library directors are continually looking for ways they can serve the residents; whether its adding programs or increasing services, they are innovative in their approach to how libraries can best serve the public in the 21st century,” said Legislator Jim Malczewski.

Legislator Malczewski met with Elma Public Library director Tom Carloni, who said the fish tank is a popular attraction for the little ones.  He also met with Aurora Town Public Library Director Paula Klocek and West Seneca Public Library Director Robert Alessi.  National Library Week runs through April 9th.
