John Mills Appointed Minority Leader of the Erie County Legislature

(Erie County, NY) – The Erie County Legislature’s Minority Caucus made up of Legislator Frank Todaro (R-Lancaster), Legislator Chris Greene (R-Clarence) and Legislator James Malczewski (C-Elma) have appointed Legislator John Mills (R-Orchard Park) to serve as Minority Leader in the Legislature for 2023.

“I am proud to support John for Minority Leader. He is a calming voice in this body who often gets to the heart of the matter. You can count on him to do what needs to be done to provide honest representation for the residents of Erie County,” stated Legislator Frank Todaro

“Being a newer Legislator myself, I have always leaned on John for advice and input. His experience in local and county government is unmatched in this county and I’m happy to support him to lead our caucus,” added Legislator Chris Greene.

“John Mills is an institution of local government. He is well respected by officials of all parties because they know he will be direct, he won’t play games, and he is going to make sure we work together to deliver for the residents, “said Legislator James Malczewski.

Legislator Mills was first elected to the Erie County Legislature in 2005 after serving 24 years as an Orchard Park Councilman. He previously served as Minority Leader in the Legislature from 2007 to 2013 and Chairman of the Legislature from 2014-2017.
